•Orthotics•
Let our therapists create truly custom orthotics for you to reduce your symptoms and prevent further complications.
Did you know?
■ That ligamentous laxity, hard surfaces, sedentary lifestyle leading to
muscle weakness that doesn’t support the arch, weight/gravity, trauma, and lower extremity biomechanical dysfunction all promote excessive pronation.
■ That we hit the ground with 1.5-3 times our body weight at impact which requires a very quick deceleration; if this force is not absorbed
appropriately it is transferred up the kinetic chain and may lead to other dysfunctions.
■ Providing optimal arch support can help treat and prevent: heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, subcalcaneal bursitis, Morton’s neuroma, metatarsalgia, the shearing forces that cause calluses and corns, and more.
■ In order to be truly custom, orthotic devices must: conform to the actual shape of the foot, have full contact with the foot (no spaces) for functional support with flexibility, be calibrated correctly for force and flexibility (base on body weight, etc), be individual to each foot (left and right), and provide Maximal Arch Subtalar Stabilization.
Ask your therapist to discuss orthotic devices with you.
